Playing with your dog is important. Dog sports are a great way to build confidence in your pet. Our courses will create fun ways for your pet to learn.

Dog Sports Try-Outs

Age appropriate: 6 months or older
Course Duration: 6 sessions (one hour per week);
Tuition: $115.00
Prerequisite: Basic level course and dogs must be comfortable with dogs & people in an enclosed area

Want to try a sport or game with your dog but are unsure which one best suits you and your dog? Join us for a 6 week adventure into dog sports and games--learn about some sports and games you may not have known about and have fun playing with your dog! Dogs and handlers will be introduced to Agility, Rally-O, and nose games. Additional sports / games may include freestyle dancing, canine flying discs, and other training games.

This is a drop-in style class which means you will get a ticket that allows for 6 visits within three (3) months.


Treibball

Age appropriate: 5 months and older
Course Duration: 6 sessions (one hour per week)
Tuition: $115.00
Prerequisite: Reliable sit, down, come, heel and stay;
Dogs must be able to work in a space with other dogs and people in close proximity

Is your dog nipping at your heels to go out and have some fun? We have the solution. Try Treibball- it’s like a soccer game for canines! Eight exercise balls are arranged in a triangle pattern. The goal is for your dog to push them into a net. Your dog learns waiting for direction, driving the ball left or right and working at a distance with you as his/her personal coach.


Agility Foundation

Age appropriate: 5 months and older
Course Duration: 6 sessions (one hour per week)
Tuition: $115.00
Prerequisite: Basic level course with reliable sit, down, come, heel and stay;
Dogs must be able to work in a space with other dogs and people in close proximity.

Low impact agility skills will be introduced. You will learn about start line stays, targeting, contact equipment contact zones, dogs accepting movement under their feet, foot work, understanding rear end movement, and flatwork handling. In you class, you will be working with various exercises to build muscle tone and handler-focus, while introducing the dog to several agility obstacles with safety as a primary goal; all the while building confidence in both dog and handler. Class size is limited.


Agility II

Course Duration: 6 sessions (one hour per week)
Tuition: $115.00

Prerequisite: Agility Foundation or instructors recommendation
Class is limited

This advanced class will continue the work you learned in Agility I. Low impact agility skills will be practiced, focusing on off-leash work as a goal.


Intro to Rally-O!

Age appropriate: 7 months or older
Course Duration: 6 sessions (one hour per week)
Tuition: $115.00
Prerequisite: Dogs in this class must be able to work in space with 5 other dogs and people in close proximity. Dogs must have a solid loose leash walk/heel in a classroom environment and know sit, down, and stay.

This class is all about learning the ins and outs of APDT level 1 Rally-Obedience practicing your Rally-O skills.  The first three weeks we will go over all the signs. The final 3 weeks will include practice running short courses to teach you how to maneuver a course. Students will be instructed on things to work on to improve their skills—whether handling issues (like not giving multiple cues) or a dog training issue (like teaching ‘stand’).  Teams will run the course individually and can spend time in between runs practicing various skills individually.  This class will provide more individual attention and time for feedback.


Rally-O Level 1

Age appropriate: 7 months or older
Course Duration: 6 sessions (one hour per week)
Tuition: $115.00
Prerequisite: Must have taken a Intro to Rally-O class previously or be proficient in all Level 1 signs. Dogs in this class must be able to work in space with 5 other dogs and people in close proximity.
 
This class is all about practicing your Rally-O skills learned in Intro to Rally and fine tuning the skills for APDT/WCR level 1 Rally-Obedience. This class will feature a new course each week for teams to practice and get feedback from the instructor. Students will be instructed on things to work on to improve their skills—whether handling issues (like not giving multiple cues) or a dog training issue (like teaching ‘stand’). Teams will run the course individually and can spend time in between runs practicing various skills individually. This class will be small to provide more individual attention and time for feedback.


Rally-O Level 2

Age appropriate: 7 months or older

Nosework Beginnings

Age appropriate: 6 months and older
Course Duration: 6 sessions (one hour per week)
Tuition: $115.00
Prerequisite: Dogs must be able to work in a space with other dogs and people in close proximity.

A dog nose is a powerful thing - we smell vegetable soup and a dog smells each separate ingredient. This class combines a dog’s natural sense of smell and desire to find items into a fun experience. Dogs are encouraged to "find it" using toys and essential oil (such as birch). Praise, toys and treats are used to reward the dog’s efforts.


Canine Enrichment Games

Age appropriate: 5 months or older
Course Duration: 4 sessions (one hour per week)
Tuition: $75.00
Prerequisite: Dogs must be able to work in a space with other dogs and people in close proximity.

In this class you will learn about games, products, and activities that will help work your dog both mentally and physically, even in small spaces. Each week, your dog will explore a new enrichment activity that will help tire out your pup.

  • Food Dispensing Toys: ways for your dog to work for their supper
  • Canine Puzzle Toys: brainteasers for your dog
  • Canine Nose Games: working your dog’s nose and brain
  • Canine Fitness: stretching and strengthen exercises

Exercise and activities will be modified for growing puppies and senior dogs


Art Of Retrieve

Age appropriate: 6 months or older
Course Duration: 3 sessions (one hour per week)
Tuition: $65.00
Prerequisite: Dogs in this class

The art of retrieve is more than just a game of fetch. Games are the perfect way to practice: trade, sit, stay, recall and more. You and your dog will have a ball playing & learning together!


Workout With Your Dog

Age appropriate: 8 weeks or older
Course Duration: 1 session (one hour per week)
Tuition: $15.00
Prerequisite: Bring your own yoga mat
Dogs must be able to work in a space with other dogs and people in close proximity.
